Showcase at the Louvre Museum, Paris

Azza Fahmy Jewellery, the premier Egyptian designer jewellery brand, unveils some of its classical and iconic handcrafted pieces at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France to mark the opening of the Islamic Arts section.

The carefully selected collection will be retailed at the Museum store from this month.
The new Islamic Arts wing recently opened its doors to some of the largest Islamic Arts collections across Europe, including about 3,000 works from the 7th to the 19th century. The exhibit takes the spectators on a historic journey, whisked away to the Islamic civilizations of Ottoman, Andalusian, Mamluk, and Persia.

The Azza Fahmy collection reflects the historic richness, complexity and sophistication of these different civilizations with characteristic markers through its Ottoman inspired and classic cultural designs, celebrated across the Middle-East and worldwide.  Paying testament to her work, Azza Fahmy’s combination of culture, art and contemporary fashion is uniquely placed to provide the authentic retail offering required by The Louvre.

The wing’s opening, with its revolutionary structure, is considered to be one of the most significant Louvre extensions, ever since the addition of its iconic glass pyramid in the 1980’s. It aims to bridge the gap between the Western and the Middle-Eastern worlds through the consolidation of diverse cultures and humanities.
