The Qalawun-Muzhir Bangle brings together two design compositions: the first is a pattern taken from the mihrab of the Mausoleum of Sultan al-Mansur Qalawun where marble and mother-of-pearl are used to create a vibrant effect of waves. The second is the twelve-pointed star pattern found in the minbar of the madrasa of Qadi Abu Bakr ibn Muzhir. It is decorated with mosaics and surrounded by curved segments, inlaid with ebony and ivory. This piece is adorned with a combination of Sapphires and London Blue Topaz, and inscribed with the timeless words of Persian poet Shams Tabrizi,
